VALIDATION OF A CLINICAL CASE FORMULATION MODEL FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS


Abstract
Formulation models allow the coherent organization of a clinical case information for later analysis and lead to intervention processes formulation according to the findings. The study aimed to identify the content validity of a clinical case formulation model for children and adolescents by the judgment of seven experts in clinical psychology. Kappa coefficient was calculated to identify the agreement between judges. The model was adjusted according to the experts’ assessment and the new version was also reviewed. Results indicated the pertinence of a model for children and adolescents as it includes categories directly related to developmental processes and their influence on the behavior and the adaptation to the context in which they interact.
