Series on Upgrading Methodology in Clinical Psychology. Assesment Measures of Empathy in Psychotherapy


Abstract
Empathy is an extensively used conceptin the psychotherapeutic field. It is often mentioned as anindispensable aspect of therapists, and many training programsfor psychotherapists have empathy training. However, the widerange of conceptual and operational definitions generates avariety of measures. The present article describes differentempathy measures for general use, as well as those specificallydeveloped to measure empathy in the therapeutic field.
